Qualifications:
Completion of a 2 year HVAC program at a technical school and 2 years of commercial HVAC experience or 4 years commercial HVAC experience. Must have working knowledge of hydronic heating systems. Must have 3rd Class Steam Engineers License or equivalent experience. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and establish driver eligibility under the University’s Motor Vehicle Policy.
 
Responsibilities:

Position functions as a HVAC Technician for University’s numerous HVAC systems including a 6,000 ton chiller plant. Position is responsible for repairing, installing and operating heating units and systems, refrigeration systems, pneumatic controls, pumps, fans, and motors. Inspects, tests, troubleshoots, diagnoses air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems and performs preventative maintenance. Requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to work varied hours and shifts to include evenings, weekends, and holidays; may be called to work in emergency situations. Responds to hot/cold calls. Responds to fire alarms.

 
Position Status:
Full-Time, Regular, Bargaining Unit Position.
Minimum Hourly Rate: $17.17
